Public purchases for family farming and food and nutritional security in Latin America and the Caribbean - Lessons learned and experiences
(2015) This book, prepared by the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation Program, presents the most important lessons learned from the experiences that are underway in Latin America and the Caribbean, and serves as guidelines for countries that wish to create or improve their programs of public purchases. The publication also analyzes structural aspects of demand and supply, institutional issues, agreements, and the laws and management models that guarantee the efficiency, equity and transparency of these programs.
